The organizing committee for the ninth edition of the West Asian Men's Championship, held in Iraq from July 30 to August 14, distributed the nine teams in two groups. Jordan came in Group B along with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain. With the Iraqi team hosting the first group along with Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen.
The tournament starts on July 30 through the first group matches in the city of Karbala. The second group starts on August 4 in Erbil, awaiting the draw of 20 at the Iraqi Federation headquarters in Baghdad to distribute the fixtures in the first round. According to the championship system, the champions of each group qualify for the final match directly, which will be held on August 14 in the city of Karbala, while adopted at seven and a half pm, and ten and a half at night time for the start of meetings. The team will begin preparations for the tournament early next week, awaiting the establishment of a training camp in Turkey with friendly matches, before heading to Erbil.
