Speakers from around the world will be conveningto speak at the Riyadh Philosophy Conference.
Leading philosophers to explore “Knowledge and Exploration: Space, Time, and Humanity.”
The second event of its kind to ever take place in SaudiArabia.
Saudi Arabia’s Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission announced the speakers for the second annual Riyadh Philosophy Conference, taking place from 1-3 December at the King Fahad NationalLibrary in Riyadh.
Intellectuals, philosophers, scientists, astronauts, writers, and historians from around the world will explore a range of topics under the theme of “Knowledge and Exploration: Space, Time, and Humanity.”
This year’s theme has been chosen to create a convergence of science and philosophy. Discussions will cover topics such as ethics in exploration, the dilemmas of artificial intelligence, and the complexities of space diplomacy, assessing how these issues will shape the future of humanity.

Dr. MohamedHassan Alwan, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, said:

The three-day conference will feature lectures,panels, discussions, seminars,and workshops designed to be inclusive and open. There will also be activities and workshops for young people,including the “ReadingBetween the Lines” debating competition for college students,a “Philosophical Camp” for young people to engage in philosophical discussion with world- renowned academics, and a “Philosophers of Tomorrow” spacefor children and young adults to engagein critical thinking activities around the theme of the conference.
