Zain KSA becomes Scientific Partner of ‘National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity’

Zain KSA announced it will be sponsoring the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibda'a", organized by the King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The competition consists of a scientific contest of eight levels among school students presenting projects across a number of fields, with the aim of pinpointing distinguished projects to be shortlisted and nominated for advanced levels of the competition. The best research projects will constitute the Kingdom's national research team that would compete within the most prominent global forum for scientific research, the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).

 

Commenting on this contribution, Vice President for Communication at Zain KSA Mr. Rayan bin Abdullah Al-Turki pointed out that Zain KSA’s sponsorship of this national event emanates from the Company's strategy to foster national talents and empower them, and to integrate institutional and individual efforts to serve the transformation towards a knowledge-based and integrated digital economy, as well as raise the Kingdom's ranking among the most innovative and competitive countries around the world in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

 

The objectives of the competition align with the goals of Zain KSA to support national talents and students as part of its national and societal commitment. In that, the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity "Ibda’a" aims to drive scientific interest among public education students, increase passion for science and scientific research, in addition to providing a competitive environment for the nation’s male and female students that develops their creativity in scientific and technical fields, as well as discovering gifted student and providing them with research skills to foster their talents. The Olympiad covers 22 areas, most notably robotics and smart devices.
