Eng. Al-Sadhan also listed the numerous features offered by the 5G network, including advanced solutions and services such as virtual and augmented reality, automation, 3D printing, robotics, and much more, in addition to profound potentials in developing AI applications that will pave the way for Saudi Arabia’s progress in numerous vital sectors.
On his end, Director General of MODON Eng. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Salem commended Zain KSA as a key partner of MODON in its quest to amplify the role of industrial sectors in increasing local content as directed by Saudi Vision 2030 and MODON’s initiatives within the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP).
He added that the joint efforts to expand the 5G network across industrial cities will largely contribute in presenting world-class telecommunications services that fulfil MODON’s National Productivity Program targets that seek to equip non-oil sectors and factories with advanced capabilities. To accomplish highly efficient productivity levels, through transformational plans that embrace operational excellence principles and fourth industrial revolution technologies. Moreover, he stated that MODON is working on an initiative to entice digital transformation in factories and industrial facilities through providing essential digital tools and encouraging the adoption of open source technologies.
Furthermore, and in parallel with its backing of mega projects with 5G capabilities, Zain KSA continues to offer the largest 5G network coverage in the Kingdom with a total of 50 cities enabled by more than 4600 towers to date.
