The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) launched at its headquarters here today its new identity to reflect the big role the authority is playing in protecting the security and assets of the homeland, in the development and prosperity of the national economy under the solidarity of the society, represented by individuals and the public and private sectors.
The new identity is in line with the Authority’s continuous endeavors to build an effective institution with high efficiency that contributes to developing the economy, enhancing the application of customs monitoring over the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s imports and exports and facilitating border trade.
Through its vision, the Authority seeks to become an international model in administrating Zakat, taxes and customs via realizing its strategic goals that focus on enhancing the security side, increasing the abidance and commitment rate, supporting economic development and facilitating trade movement.
It is worth mentioning that inaugurating the new identity of the Authority comes in implementation of the Cabinet’s decision issued in May, merging the General Authority for Zakat and Tax with the General Customs Authority under the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, with the aim of unifying the efforts of both sectors under one umbrella, which will contribute to increasing the effectiveness of performance and expenditure.
