The Egyptian Trade Representation is one of the agencies affiliated to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It is the economic wing of Egyptian diplomacy abroad, the main umbrella of Egypt's international economic relations and one of the most important entities working in the field of advancing and developing Egypt's foreign trade. It also plays a leading role in supporting and developing Egypt's external economic relations. Bilateral or multilateral as the state's diplomatic entity specialized in this field.
Trade Representation is carried out as a commercial diplomacy aimed at implementing the State's plan to increase exports and rationalize imports, attract Arab and foreign investments to Egypt, represent Egypt in international trade and economic organizations, follow up technical and financial cooperation programs and support Egyptian participation in international trade fairs.
Employees are subject to commercial representation of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps Law No. 45 of 1982 as amended by Law No. 69 of 2009.
