Asharqia Chamber was established in 1372 A.H. corresponding to 1952 A.D. It has made some significant progress since its establishment in many fields such as protecting the interests of its associates, developing its services to its businessmen and contributing to the economy of the Eastern region, in addition to its distinctive initiatives in serving economy and society in the Kingdom, as well as its own administrative, regulative and financial development and awareness to any updates in similar organizations throughout the world, using the most up-to-date technologies and systems in the service of the private sector seeing as the chamber has witnessed significant developments in many areas which made it one of the most highest-ranking chambers on both the Arab and regional levels. The chamber has expanded "horizontally", and instead of one building in the headquarters in Dammam, it expanded to all provinces of the eastern region to provide services to businessmen in branches in Al-Jubail, Al-Khafji, Al-Qateef and Al-Khubar. "Vertically", Asharqia chamber does not stop developing, and in this field, it has witnessed various forms of development, for instance, establishing an SME's development center, training center, investment center, community service, businesswomen center, a special services center and many other services and centers which reflect the chamber's interest in serving the country and the region on the one hand, and its keenness to adopt certain issues that illustrate the chamber's future vision on the other.
