The Ministry of Economy and Planning is one of the governmental bodies of Saudi Arabia and part of the cabinet. The ministry has the function of developing and implementing five-year plans which reflect the long-term economical targets of the country. Some of its objectives are to enable the sustainable growth and diversification of KSA’s economy, and support the advancement of its international rankings, to analyze, develop and improve socio-economic policies and recommend changes in legislations while combining best practices with local context, to foster social, human and intellectual capital development, to ensure coverage and integration of all sectors and regions in the socio-economic development planning, and to recommend and support international economic cooperation and partnership agreements, and ensure KSA’s fulfillment of its international role in development and sustainability.
