The National Water Company (NWC), represented by its Northern Cluster, completed the implementation of a water project in Qassim Region. This project aims to enhance the supply of water to the city of Buraidah, at a total cost of 105 million Saudi Riyals, in order to increase the coverage percentages of water services, improve their quality, and keep pace with the increasing demand.
The company confirmed that the project to complete the pumping system from the springs of Al-Mustawa water field included the construction of 21 wells for water supply connected to a pumping station through a network of pipelines with different diameters and a total length of 13,646 meters, in addition to the construction of a reinforced-concrete water tank with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters and a building with 10 pumps at a pumping capacity of up to 250,000 cubic meters per day, as well as another building with 4 generators and a number of other service buildings.
NWC pointed out that the project is part of the National Water Strategy outcomes, and the company's plans and strategies aimed at expanding the provision of water services, keeping pace with the increasing growth in the demand for services, in addition to improving the quality of life and its services according to the Saudi Arabian Vision 2030.
