The Al-Jahiz Pavilion was opened on August 15 at the Souk Okaz, as part of Taif Season, with a range of activities and events dedicated to showcasing the life and writings of one of the most important Arab scholars from antiquity.
Since opening, the Al-Jahiz Pavilion has witnessed a huge turnout, with visitors attracted by innovative displays and creative performances – especially the children’s theater, cinema, and a games corner that features 3D glasses, allowing visitors to enjoy fun and rich experiences.
The exhibition presents scientific information in an entertaining format, showing important moments in the great scholar’s life and highlighting his contributions in the fields of literature, politics, history, ethics and biology. In particular, it focuses on his most important work, the Book of Animals, which is a scientific encyclopedia and a model for scientific research.
