Al Mashaaer Train serves 2.2M passengers during Hajj season: SAR

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) announced the success of the operational plan for Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Train in the Hajj season of 1445 AH, completing the transport of more than 2.2 million passengers between Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina stations by facilitating 2,206 trips.

The train operated for seven days, starting from the seventh to the 13th day of the month of Dhul Hijjah. The first movement of the train carried 29,000 passengers, while 292,000 pilgrims were transported from Mina to Arafat. In addition, more than 305,000 pilgrims were transported from Arafat to Muzdalifah.

SAR pointed out that the train transported more than 383,000 pilgrims to Mina, in addition to 1.2 million pilgrims during the days of Al-Tashreeq, who moved from stations (Mina 1, Mina 2, Muzdalifah 3) to Mina 3 (Jamarat Station).
