Aston Martin was once again present at a Middle Eastern Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Showrun event, this time on the streets of Beirut, Lebanon. The event, which was held on 22nd May, saw celebrated driver Carlos Sainz enjoy the specially designed one kilometer track in the capital’s centre in a Vanquish Volante, before taking Red Bull Racing’s RB7 through its paces.
This was the first motorsports event of its kind in Lebanon after all, and a proud moment for the country’s motorsports fans, who were thrilled watching the RB7 doing speed stretches, burnouts, donuts and had the chance to get up close and personal with the F1 car.
The partnership between Red Bull Racing and Aston Martin was announced in March 2016 and will see Red Bull Racing’s Chief Technical Officer, Adrian Newey and Aston Martin’s Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman collaborate to produce a ground-breaking Aston Martin hypercar, codenamed Project ‘AM-RB 001’.
