Bahrain's NASS bags Aramco stadium deal, invests over SAR 2.5B in Saudi: Chairman

Sami Abdulla Nass, Chairman of Bahrain's Nass Corporation, said the company won a contract to construct part of the new Aramco Stadium, being built in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, in preparation for Saudi Arabia hosting the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

The group is negotiating contracts to build another stadium in Riyad, the Chairman told Al Eqtisadiah newspaper.

NASS operates in several Gulf markets, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar, the official pointed out, adding that the group's investments exceed SAR 2.5 billion in Saudi Arabia's heavy equipment rental and construction sector.

He added that the group plans to expand its investments through listing 10 subsidiaries in the Saudi market, whose activities vary between contracting, industry, marine services, and food.

According to data available on Argaam, Saudi Aramco announced, in July, the start of constructing Aramco Stadium, with an accommodating capacity of about 47,000 seats.

The stadium is poised for completion by 2026. It will be the main stadium for Al Qadisiyah Football Club, which is owned by Saudi Aramco, while also being one of the key host venues for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia.
