Chelsea College of Arts Dubai announces new short course: Design Trends for Interiors
Chelsea College of Arts (CCA), will be returning to Dubai in May 2015 with a two-day short course dedicated to design trends for interiors. The short course will be taught by London-based talent and Interior Designer Matteo Bianchi, a graduate of Chelsea College of Arts who is also a key note speaker (speaking) at this year’s interior design exhibition, INDEX.
CCA invites aspiring and practicing interior designers to learn more about the enormous scope of the industry and how it is constantly changing. Matteo Bianchi will take students through new and exciting developments within the world of interiors from the latest design fairs such as the Salone Del Mobile held in Milan, which he recently attended.
New technologies continue to transform the ways in which people interact within the home and work place. It is an interior designer’s responsibility to foresee these changes and consider how interiors need to mould and adapt in accordance. With a particular focus on materials and their multiple applications, students will be certain to impress clients by reflecting these emerging trends in their designs and schemes.
Additionally, participants will emerge from this course with an enriched confidence when talking to clients and trade people, with the ability to modernise their portfolio and extend their market reach, offering their increased knowledge of a variety of materials and innovative approaches when it comes to choosing materials for interior schemes. CCA is one of six art colleges that make up the prestigious University of the Arts London, the largest provider of arts education in Europe. With a number of well-known alumni including Alexander McQueen, Anish Kapoor, Mojeb Al-Dousari and Florence Welch.
