CHEP awarded as Top Employer in Saudi Arabia for second consecutive year

For the second consecutive year, CHEP, the global supply chain solutions company, has been certified as a 2020 Top Employer in Saudi Arabia by the Top Employers Institute (TEI), a global certifier recognising excellence in employee practices.

The certification comes after the company won the Top Employer Award in 2019 and continued to drive its core philosophy of diversity and inclusion, while also fostering local talent in the Kingdom. The company has built a culture that focuses on its people, helping them build a strong foundation to facilitate their personal and professional development through various training programmes.

Megeshni Archary, Country General Manager, MENA, CHEP said: “We recognise that our employees are the engine that drive our business to greater heights – investing in them and aligning with their priorities is a key objective for us. Their interest in building a sustainable future is facilitated by our circular business model and allows us to support the Saudi Vision 2030, which serves as an ambitious roadmap for diversified economic growth. As a Top Employer we recognise the importance of promoting talents who have the necessary skillset to meet the requirements of tomorrow. I thank Top Employers Institute for acknowledging our efforts and our employee initiatives.”

Lakshmi Parasuram, Director, HR Business Partner for India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa, said: “Over the years, we have actively listened and responded to our employees to ensure that we maintain our strengths and focus on the areas that require development. The team values this recognition as we continue to develop people-first strategies. With the Top Employer certification, we continue to build our brand as an Employer of Choice in Saudi Arabia.”

The CHEP Saudi leadership team includes a number of Saudi locals, while its global graduate development programme currently includes three Saudi Nationals. The company’s business model is inherently sustainable as it extensively uses pooled assets and sustainability solutions. The company has also enabled local customers to become part of the circular economy through its core principles of share and reuse.

CHEP has been recognised as a Top Employer in a number of countries including India, part of Europe and Africa.

David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute, said: “To become recognised as a Top Employer, an organisation will have to prove that the implementation of their people strategies enriches the world of work of their employees.  The certified participants are a shining example of a dedication to people practices as they continuously commit to empowering their employees for a better world of work. Congratulations!”
