The National Center for Environmental Justice (CNES) on Saturday launched an environmental empowerment project under the theme: "Towards Sustainable Environmental Justice."
The project, carried out with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), aims to promote the concept of collective engagement to achieve environmental justice and awareness, as well as participation in environmental policy-making, in cooperation with various stakeholders.
During the launching ceremony, Ahmed Qatarna, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Environment, said: "The media and parties have a role in supporting the environmental sector to address the problems it is facing."
The Head of the CNES, Dr. Mohammed Eiadat, highlighted the media's role in raising awareness on environmental issues.
