The Best Place to Celebrate Chinese New Year
Global Village’s impressive 21-metre Chinese Pagoda is located at Global Village’s Celebration Walk. A Chinese Dragon dance entertains guests around the Pagoda, to the sounds of cultural Chinese music. The Pagoda activation area also has Chinese mask-painting, a cosplay photo opportunity where guests can pose in traditional Chinese attire in front of the Pagoda and an adorable giant panda who will be delighted to stop for a selfie with both the young and the young at heart.
As one of the largest Pavilions at Global Village, the China Pavilion offers extraordinary moments to visitors through its rich cultural, entertainment and dining experiences. To enrich the festivities, the China Pavilion will be the backdrop for China’s most popular cultural dances including the traditional dragon dance and exciting lion dance, both taking place three times daily right next to the enchanting Chinese Bridge over the Canal.
As well as offering a wide range of authentic products, artefacts, handicrafts, gifts and souvenirs from China, the Pavilion is renowned as a guest-favourite for its amazing Chinese acrobatic cultural show and live artefact stations, which enable guests to enjoy beautiful oriental arts crafted right before their eyes, including a talented Chinese calligrapher.
Of course, Global Village is chock full of the fragrant flavours and famous food dishes of the Orient at China Pavilion, the Floating Market and throughout the festival park.
Finally, Global Village’s Arabian Square fountain will host a daring Chinese Fire show which wows guests three times a day during the special Chinese New Year celebrations.
Global Village is illuminated with the colours, sights, sounds and flavours of China until February 1st.
