Fourzone Décor and College of Fashion Design team up for apparel design project

Fourzone Décor, a UAE-based interior contracting and fit-out company and The College of Fashion Design Dubai (CFD), the UAE”s first locally accredited college for fashion, are teaming up for an apparel design project.

The project was initiated by Fourzone Décor and will see students of CFD unleash their creativity by working on several corporate apparel designs which will be used by Fourzone Décor as their corporate clothing. The students will be required to submit two original designs which must incorporate the logo of Fourzone Décor. The selected design will be awarded a certificate and cash prizes will be divided amongst the participating students.

Ajish Nambiar, Director of Fourzone Décor, said: “We have initiated this project as part of our effort to reach out to the community. We have a lot of talented students and we want the world to see and appreciate their talents. We are doing this project to encourage other companies to take a similar approach and open the doors of opportunity for our local talents especially those who are studying hard to reach their dreams. It may be a small project but we are sure that this will mean a lot to the students and will forever be part of their experience.”

Prof. Abhilasha Singh, President and CEO, The College of Fashion Design, said: “We would like to thank Fourzone Décor for collaborating with us on this aspiring project.  Striving for the best, with this great experience, CFD will give our students a unique opportunity to have a grasp of the work outside of the school and the exposure that will help them in their journey into the world of fashion. We, at CFD, continue to keep one step ahead of others by looking for opportunities for our students to enhance their creativity and stand out amongst the fashion graduates not only in the UAE but in the region.”

The students are free to create any concepts including the choice of colours and materials for the shirt. The only requirement is that the students must incorporate the logo of Fourzone within the design.

“We are very excited about the result of this project and we hope to collaborate with them again in our future projects,” adds Nambiar.

Fourzone Décor and CFD are planning to hold an awarding ceremony to recognise the effort of the students and to announce the winning design.
