From sunset to sunrise: Huawei captures the essence of Ramadan with #OneRamadan

 If one picture is worth a thousand words, then one thousand pictures are worth an entire story. This Ramadan, Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) is following and capturing the journey of millions of Muslims across the region from sunset to sunrise all through the lens of the Huawei P9. The #OneRamadan stop-motion videos shot using only the Huawei P9 are the first of its kind developed to illustrate the essence of Ramadan and put Huawei’s smartphone camera to the ultimate test. 

 

Captured through the dual-lens camera of the Huawei P9, the #OneRamadan campaign stitches together thousands of photographs of daily Ramadan practices such as prayer, breaking fast, Iftar, giving back and Suhoor. These photographs make up 10 videos that each bring to life Ramadan practices often shared with family and friends. 

 

“Ramadan brings people together to cherish the customs that make the holy month so special and Huawei’s #OneRamadan campaign illustrates just this,” said Myriam Benaroya, Huawei Consumer Business Group’s Regional Middle East and Africa Marketing Director. “We wanted to launch a campaign that resonated with audiences and reflected the unity and spirit of this month through the lens of our latest flagship device - the Huawei P9.”

 

The videos posted across Huawei Instagram and Facebook platforms take viewers on a journey from Iftar to Suhoor with over 10,000 images fused together to bring to life the Ramadan customs Muslims across the region treasure; regardless of who they are or where they are from. Rather than one strong image, the Huawei #OneRamadan campaign combines thousands of shots from all around the Middle East to create the first ever stop-motion video shot with the Huawei P9. 

In addition to launching this campaign, Huawei is also the sole technology sponsor of the iconic Asateer Tent at on the Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, UAE. During the month of Ramadan, Huawei and Asateer are encouraging visitors  to share their beautiful moments with @HuaweiArabia on Instagram using the hashtag #OneRamadan for the chance to win a  two-night stay at the luxurious Atlantis Hotel Dubai as well as a Huawei P9 smartphone.
