Grundfos, the award-winning world leader in advanced pump solutions, is partaking along with a number of renowned Danish companies, in the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) to be held during 16–19 January 2017, in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, UAE.
Some of the companies participating in WFES, including Grundfos, are part of the Act NOW initiative (www.actnow.dk), a partnership between private, public and non-governmental organizations with the goal to promote reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions. The participation reflects the high level achieved by Danish companies in fields of sustainability and energy saving.
“Many Danish companies have been very successful in developing and promoting sustainable and energy efficient technologies, and Denmark is in the forefront of using and exporting such technologies. This is a result of the early and strict environmental regulations in Denmark, which have encouraged companies to be highly innovative and develop advanced and efficient equipment, and master the know-how of all processes relevant to sustainability,” said Henning Sandager, Grundfos Area Managing Director, Middle East and Turkey.
The group of companies that are members of the Act NOW partnership and participating in the WFES include: Grundfos, Unidrain, Scotia, New, CEBRA Architecture, Quooker, Transform and Pilegaard Henriksen.
The Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai and the Danish sustainable Act NOW initiative have established a strong co-operation with a vision to enhance and promote Danish best practice in the fields of energy efficiency, energy savings and sustainability in the UAE.
Sandager added: “Grundfos’s participation and involvement in events, seminars, conferences and exhibitions helps in solving individual challenges and installing it’s systems in new developments, as the company has positioned itself as an energy optimization leader in the pumps industry in the region. Hence, the WFES provides the ideal platform for Grundfos and other renowned Danish players to show case their latest innovations and technologies that serve energy savings and sustainability.”
Notably, Grundfos is deeply involved in local activities that support future changes of standards and legal requirements related to broad usage of sustainable pumping solution in buildings and municipal infrastructure. Promoting intelligent, energy efficient and sustainable solutions are the continuous efforts of Grundfos in the Middle East, and particularly in UAE.
It’s worth mentioning that pumps account for as much as 10% of the world’s total electricity consumption. Much of this is unnecessarily wasted, and being one of the largest pump manufactures in the world, Grundfos believes that the industry must lead the change in the fight against rising CO2 emissions by bringing efficient solutions to the market.
