Audience excitement ahead of Week 4 has also reached a fever pitch in anticipation of two new tournaments debuting in the Saudi capital. In a historic moment for female professional esports, the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (ML:BB) Women’s Invitational 2024 starts on Wednesday. The $500,000 tournament pits 12 teams across four groups of three. The top two from each will progress to the playoffs and the $180,000 first prize awaits the Grand Final winner on Saturday (July 27).

Also making its EWC entrance on Wednesday is Overwatch 2. Saudi Arabia’s Team Falcons and Twisted Minds are among the 16 teams vying for the $400 first prize with eight assured of places in the weekend’s single elimination playoffs. The Overwatch 2 Grand Final takes place this Sunday (July 28).

The Esports World Cup is the pinnacle of professional esports – running from July 3 – August 25 with 22 tournaments across 21 titles throughout its eight-week duration.

Week 3 concluded this past Sunday as Canada’s Gaimin Gladiators won the Dota2 Riyadh Masters and Ukraine’s Natus Vincere (NAVI) celebrated a deserved triumph in the Counter-Strike 2 Grand Final.
