Saudi Arabian women are being encouraged to get creative to win one of three brand-new Hyundai KONA cars, the stylish premium sub-compact SUV recently launched in the Saudi market.
The KONA Color Drive promotion asks women to create a customized exterior design for the Hyundai KONA, and three lucky ladies will drive away in a brand-new car.
“The eye-catching all-new KONA was is identifiable by its unique and stylish design, and has a strong appeal for female motorists,” said Mike Song, head of Hyundai Middle East and Africa. “To celebrate the recent ruling that permits women in the Kingdom to drive, Hyundai’s three Saudi dealerships are giving three vehicles away – by asking ladies to create their perfect KONA design. Whether their designs are quirky or dramatic, feminine or futuristic, they can use the Hyundai’s paint tools to let their imaginations run free.”
It is a fitting contest for the KONA. A dynamic combination of style and performance, this compact SUV is worthy of the catwalk. Combining sculpted lines with a stylish edge, the all-new KONA is expressive from every angle. Buyers have 11 exterior shades to choose from, including vibrant Tangerine Comet, Acid Yellow, Pulse Red and Blue Lagoon, alongside more subdued and monochrome shades. Its two-tone roof and exterior mirrors also offer the possibility to customize color combinations to project one’s personality. Wheels can come as 16-inch steel or 16 or 17 or 18-inch alloys.
The driving experience is also enhanced by innovative technology. Hyundai’s new head-up display helps occupants stay safe by projecting important information such as speed, navigation commands, and warnings right into the driver’s line of sight. The Saudi range also offers features particularly tailored to the Kingdom’s new generation of female drivers, such as an optional Abaya Alert function that warns ladies if their abaya is trapped in the door.

Entrants must first visit the campaign microsite - www.konacolordrive.com , where they will be asked to watch a brief video highlighting the KONA’s key features and explaining the entry process in more detail. At this point, they will be able to download a promotional brochure.
The website incorporates a virtual paint box, enabling users to select shades, special effects, and various pen, brush and spray tools with which to customize a virtual vehicle’s bodywork.
Entries will be shortlisted by Hyundai product design experts, with the final decision taken by Hyundai’s distributers in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. They will select one overall winner and two runners-up nationally, who will receive generous discounts off the price of the all-new KONA. The winners’ names will be announced in December and the finalists’ designs will be displayed at the dealerships and at this year’s Saudi International Motor Show.
