KidzMondo, the Largest Edutainment Theme Park, is Coming Soon to Riyadh

Starting today, in what is described as the largest entertainment, education, and learning project in Saudi Arabia, KidzMondo cities group commences the development of a plan to open the first KidzMondo theme park in Riyadh. The theme park in Riyadh will serve as a launch pad for Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons Co. Ltd, as the company plans to implement these mega projects in phases spread over a period of 10 years.

The KidzMondo Franchise Agreement was signed during an official ceremony held in the city of Riyadh with directors and representatives from both companies in attendance. During the ceremony, Kidz Holding S.A.L introduced the concept of KidzMondo City, a miniature city dedicated to children aged between 2 and 14 years. These cities combine play time with learning, and allow the children to learn about a great number of professions, occupations, and trades. The activities are beneficial for developing the knowledge and mindset of children and for cultivating a sense of responsibility, alongside a love for work, productivity, and positive citizenship.

The first branch of this ideal city is expected to open in Riyadh during the first quarter of 2017 before moving on to the other major cities in the Kingdom.

The franchise agreement was signed by Mr. Suleiman Bin Abdul Rahman Al-Rashid, CEO of Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons Co. Ltd and Mr. Ali Kazma, Chairman of Kidz Holding and founder of the KidzMondo concept.

The signing ceremony, which took place in Saudi Arabia, was attended by Mr. Marwan Dimas, CEO of Kidz Holding; Mr. Khalid Mohammed Al-Majed, General Manager of Real Estate Sector at Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons Co. Ltd.; Mr. Mohammed El Sayed, Finance Director of Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons Co. Ltd; and a group of administrators and managers from both companies.

Expressing his aspirations for the company, Mr. Kazma said: “We have always regarded the GCC countries, especially Saudi Arabia, as a strategic market for our innovative educational and entertainment projects. We also expect to achieve great success through the signing of this agreement and entrance into the largest market of the Arab world. This step supports our plan for further deployment throughout various countries of the world – most particularly the Arab countries in the Arabian Gulf.”

The signing ceremony took place in the offices of Abdul Rahman Saad Al-Rashid and Sons Co. Ltd in Riyadh. In a speech delivered on this occasion, Mr. Suleiman Al Rashid expressed his pleasure for launching the “KidzMondo” project in Riyadh: “It is a great pleasure to work with Kidz Holding and to obtain the exclusive right of the KidzMondo franchise in Saudi Arabia. This reflects the general inclination of our wise leadership and our will to build and educate the sons and daughters of the future by providing them with the best possible means. We were encouraged to launch this project by the remarkable success achieved by KidzMondo in other countries.”

From the implementation of the first branch in Riyadh to the opening of the seventh branch during a period stretching to 10 years, launching KidzMondo cities in Saudi Arabia requires an investment worth of 500 million Saudi Riyals.

Mr. Ali Kazma developed the KidzMondo theme park and, in collaboration with a team of experts, created a new and comprehensive concept that seeks to place the innovation of edutainment as a useful method in supporting a child’s physical and intellectual growth. The activities included in the theme parks are specifically designed to improve levels of self-esteem and confidence alongside instilling a sense of responsibility.

The central idea of KidzMondo is to develop a small-scale city built for and ruled by children between the age groups of 2 to 14. Under the supervision of staff members and highly qualified educators, the city simulates daily life for adults where children are able to develop a sense of responsibility and a culture of teamwork as they learn about the various professions and value of money. The KidzMondo city has its own economy and even uses its own currency, the ‘Kidlar’.

For his part, Mr. Marwan Dimas pointed out that this project enjoys significant support from government agencies and the private sector.  KidzMondo Saudi Arabia is expected to cooperate with more than 60 brands that will sponsor various activities in the miniature city including: a fire station, a bank, an oil refinery, a police station, a solar energy plant, a supermarket, a gas station, telecommunication, insurance, trading, and construction companies, restaurants, radio and TV stations,  newspapers, a house painting site, a hospital, a pharmacy, a driver’s training area, water plants, dairy factories, juice and chocolate factories, a glass factory, a university, an academy, and an arts and crafts workshop among others.

There are KidzMondo theme parks in several countries including Lebanon, Turkey, and the U.A.E. This concept is gaining growing demand around the world as it offers the opportunity for young people to have unique experiences through the combination of entertainment and education; hence KidzMondo uses the approach of edutainment, which increases the project’s success and appeal.
