Los Angeles-born Italian hotspot Jon & Vinny’s opens in Jeddah

Inviting diners to experience the charm of Italian hospitality and food – just how ‘Nonna’ used to make it – Jon & Vinny’s has opened in Jeddah. The anticipated opening marks the LA-born brand’s third launch into the Kingdom, following its successful Riyadh and Ithra openings. The third outpost of the famous restaurant outside of California and third in Saudi Arabia, Jon & Vinny’s Jeddah will bring a slice of its Los Angeles home to Saudi’s beachy second city. Guests will delight in its famous leopard crust pizza, homemade pasta, towering desserts and creative breakfast dishes – made famous by its A-list guests.

Located on La Paz Plaza on Prince Sultan Street, Jon & Vinny’s will bring authentic Italian charm and comforting cuisine inspired by owners’ grandmothers’ (or Nonnas’) very own recipes. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering dishes that go against fussy dining, with a menu of authentic regional cuisine such as Breakfast Pizza 2.0 with potato, egg and red onion, homemade Rigatoni with Six-Hour Beef Bolognese, Marinara Braised Veal Meatballs, loaded Chopped Salads and Antipasti Boards and perfectly charred pizzas made with 48-hour fermented dough. Those with a sweet tooth will delight in pastries like Hazelnut Café Bombolone and Pecan Cinnamon Roll, and desserts including fluffy Laban Pancakes, Layered Tiramisu, and Nonna’s Lemon Ricotta Cookie.

The space takes inspiration from its sister restaurants in California, Riyadh and Ithra, decked out in Jon & Vinny’s signature striking green with a cozy and minimalist aesthetic. Guests can expect the same brilliant green pizza boxes, high ceilings, softwood accents and neon signage – all creating a homely and recognizable neighborhood feel.

Founded by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Jon & Vinny’s opened its first outpost in 2015 as a family-centric, neighborhood space to enjoy delicious Italian comfort food. It has since expanded into a global destination, attracting A-list clientele including Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend and Jay-Z and Beyoncé. Jeddah diners can now experience the famed concept with reservations and walk-ins welcome.
