Maserati Jordan, represented by Gargour Automotive Trading Ltd. the official importer of Maserati automobiles in Jordan, sponsored the Italian Archeological Missions to Jordan exhibition, which was held recently in the Italian Embassy of Amman.
The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Inetrnational Cooperration has been organizing archaelogical missions to Jordan since the early 1920s, in a commitment to intercultural dialogue and the development of policies between the two countries. Maserati’s sponsorship of the exhibition is to pay tribute to that. The exhibition shed light on the future of the Italian Archaeological Mission’s plans in Jordan, which will increasingly rely on two parallel and complementary developments: on one hand, the enhancement of the Jordanian ownership of the process, through training, capacity building and public-private partnerships; and on the other hand, the adoption of sophisticated tools to considerably reduce the risks and hazards of the traditional excavation approaches and methodologies.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Raja Gargour, Chairman of Gargour Automotive Trading Ltd., said: “it is our firm belief in the importance of such initiatives that strengthen relations between Jordan and Italy. With Maserati being a well-known Italian brand with a rich history, our support of this project is a great pleasure. We at Gargour Automotive Trading Ltd. trust in the role of the Italian Archaeological Missions in promoting and preserving the cultural heritage in the Kingdom.”
