Panasonic focuses on sustainable living solutions at WETEX 2015

In line with Wetex 2015 theme of ‘At the forefront of sustainability’, Panasonic Marketing Middle East and Africa (PMMAF) is introducing visitors to its innovative range of energy saving sustainable living solutions including solar panels, energy efficient LED lights, indoor air quality solutions and wiring devices at the event taking place from 21 to 23 April, 2015 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Over the years, WETEX has grown in prominence as an international event which brings together various manufacturers, decision makers and executives from the water, energy and environmental technology sector offering them opportunities to establish new alliances and strengthen business ties.
According to Shinichi Wakita, Managing Director, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa (PMMAF) “With a strong focus on energy conservation through consumer awareness building, sharing of best practices and adoption of innovative eco-friendly technologies, UAE has made commendable progress towards becoming a sustainable green economy, encouraging smart city initiatives and being a global gateway for green trade and investment. This resonates with Panasonic’s own commitment to contributing to the sustainability of society and the global environment which will be the highlight of our presence at WETEX this year. Our cutting edge technology devices that contribute to sustainable living and our Fujisawa Sustainable Smart Town concept will be on display at WETEX. Through this international event, we aim to highlight our green technology and spread knowledge about how we can make a difference in building a clean, green and sustainable future.”
The key products on display at the Panasonic stand are:
Panasonic Solar Panels
Panasonic HIT™ is one of the most efficient solar panels in the world as it enables more power generation per square meter than conventional solar panels. Panasonic has been pioneering industry leader in the solar business for more than 40 years. At noon, with the sun shining bright, the surface of solar panels can heat up; and with standard solar panels, this can affect their performance. However, Panasonic HIT™ has a unique structure that allows them to maintain high efficiency and performance even in hot temperatures, allowing HIT™ to produce more energy throughout the day.
In 2014, Panasonic achieved world's highest cell conversion efficiency in R&D level which stood at 25.6%.
Panasonic's R&D team received high international regard for breaking the world record of conversion efficiency and making contribution to a clean energy society.

LED Lights
Continuing its ongoing efforts to create smart living spaces, Panasonic’s new range of breakthrough energy-efficient LED lighting solutions, address the challenge of energy-conservation in the Middle East. LEDs are the best solution for energy efficient living as they consume up to 90% less power than incandescent bulbs. They also help lower power costs and emit low heat, a factor which is very useful considering the high temperatures in the GCC region.
