Qatar Career Fair (QCF), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is set to host its third Summer Career Camp this month.
Open to Qatari male and female high school students, the QCF camp will offer participants a variety of activities, educational and academic programmes, and interactive workshops. Separate classes will be held for each group of students attending the camp, which will be held at Education City’s Recreation Centre daily from 23rd August to 3rd September between 9am and 2pm.
Through this event, the Qatar Career Fair supports QF’s mission of providing unique, world-class education, work experience, and career opportunities to Qatar in order help create a knowledge-based economy.
QCF’s comprehensive programme aims to develop the talents and skills that will assist students in planning their future academic and professional paths. Additionally, through a unique and stimulating environment, QCF will equip participants with a variety of valuable practical skills and knowledge, and match their capabilities and skills with the right opportunities.
Abdulla Al-Mansoori, Director of Qatar Career Fair, said, “QCF’s programmes and initiatives have had a longstanding focus on providing the necessary support and help to propel Qatari students forward. Through the various activities and workshops that draw on career guidance and advisory expertise, the 2015 Summer Camp will pave the way for a bright and prosperous future.”
He added, “Our priority is for participants to reap great benefits from the Summer Camp workshops, which we have devised to strengthen and solidify their skill sets across various subjects, such as decision-making, leadership, public speaking, teamwork, and entrepreneurship, areas that we believe will largely play into optimal academic and professional planning.”
The Summer Career Camp will also offer students opportunities for site visits and job shadowing programmes at leading organisations in Qatar. Participants will be introduced to workplace environments, get a glimpse into career life, and match their abilities, skills, and educational choices with the right professional decisions. All students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded participation certificates.
Registration is open until 20 August 2015, and, to ensure a place in the highly-coveted Summer Camp, students are advised to register online early as spaces are limited.
