Riyadh has hosted a joint meeting between Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) and representatives of European Broadcasting Union in addition to the African Union of Broadcasting (AUB) and Permanent Conference of the Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (CoPeAm) and the Islamic Broadcasting Union.
The participants commended the amazing developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, considering these rapid changes a model of success that should be transferred, offering several recommendations and initiatives to organize the joint media action, in addition to the coming cooperation fields in the news field, keeping pace with the accelerating developments in the digital media field, as well as facing media challenges.
President of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority and ASBU Mohammed Al-Harithi inaugurated the meeting, affirming the importance of joint action to realize the envisioned development through integration and exchanging expertise, especially that the media industry is based on integration and cooperation among international unions and organizations.
The meeting discussed several aspects related to program, news, radio and TV exchanges, in addition to cooperation in the fields of training, joint production and cooperation with other international organizations.
