Saudi Arabia’s Aramco oil company has appointed its first female board member among five new members to its board of directors, according to a statement issued on its official website on Sunday.
Lynn Laverty Elsenhans, former Chairwoman, President and CEO of Sunoco Inc. was appointed as a board member, according to the company’s statement.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan and Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri were named as members of the Aramco board of directors.
The five new members to Aramco’s board will join six returning members including Saudi Energy Minister and Aramco chairman Khalid Al-Falih, and Amin Nasser, Aramco’s Chief Executive.
