The Spanish group Meliá Hotels International launched a four-star superior Innside hotel in downtown Aachen on May 2nd. A stone's throw from the Couven Museum, Aachen Cathedral and the famous city park, a new urban lifestyle hotel with 158 rooms had been erected. Following the unique design concept of the Innside by Meliá premium brand, the stylish residence that targets business and individual travellers combines fancy architecture perfectly integrated into the cityscape with modern interior design. On six floors, the new Innside displays an elegant purist ambience. With their modern furnishings, the bright rooms come with a classy wood look and monochrome floors, which develop into real eye catchers thanks to effective indirect lighting. All rooms offer king or queen-size beds, adjustable air conditioning, a 40-inch LED television set, a free minibar, free WiFi, desks including a media hub and high-speed Internet access, as well as luxury glass bathrooms with a rain shower. Two combinable, light-flooded event rooms measuring a total of 110 square metres are equipped with state-of-the-art conference technology and provide space for up to 100 people. Those who wish to keep fit during their trip may work out in the fitness area equipped with the latest fitness equipment and relax in the sauna including a recreation room.
A new hotspot in Aachen: Uptown Sky Lounge & Restaurant
True to its name, the exclusive Uptown Sky Lounge & Restaurant with its large panorama windows and an exquisite roof terrace on the sixth floor will be the overall highlight. Here, purism and avant-garde amalgamate: bold lines and curved forms, austere black and white with a striking purple tone. “Uptown” provides an elegant lounge, a bar, and both a breakfast and à-la-carte restaurant in one. This trendy location is to establish new standards with respect to design, cuisine and classic bar culture – boasting an international fusion cuisine and innovative bar food concepts. Various DJ events on weekends, live performances, lounge nights, tastings, afternoon tea or Sunday brunches on the fantastic roof terrace are meant to attract both international hotel guests and particularly Aachen's cosmopolitans and night owls. And as a location for extraordinary events, the Uptown Sky Lounge & Restaurant are already enjoying great popularity among event organisers.
The hotel runs under the experienced management of Christine Klein (32).
