Tilal Liwa Hotel, a secluded hideaway leisure resort perched on the edge of Rub Al Khali Desert, is now preparing for Al Dhafra Festival, a 17-day celebration to revive the Bedouin culture, heritage and history of the Emirate happening from 13th to 29th December in Madinat Zayed, Al Gharbia (The Western Region) Abu Dhabi.

The festival will host a series of events such as a camel beauty contest, saluki (greyhound), falcon and date packaging competitions, milking camel competition. In addition, there will be many other competitions reflecting the traditions of the UAE such as the Nabati poetry competition, a cooking and photography competition that is a reflection of the festival.
