Toll Global Forwarding (TGF) has announced the appointment of Bahrain-based shipping and freight forwarding group, Trans Continental Shipping (TCS), as its master franchisee for Bahrain. Vice President of Global Franchises for TGF Jeff Khoury said the partnership, which will operate as TGF Bahrain, is a key example of the business’ continued focus on expanding its global footprint in emerging markets. “TGF’s strategy to expand our international presence through the franchise program allows us to establish footholds in key locations of importance to our customers,” Jeff said. “Bahrain, in particular, is an important gateway for Saudi Arabia and adjacent markets.” TGF’s ongoing partnership with TSC – and the subsequent establishment of TGF Bahrain – has been built on shared strategic priorities, of which the provision of end-to-end international forwarding services to customers in the region is a key focus. Owner of TCS Yusuf Al Rayes said, “We have been in partnership with Toll for many years and are confident that TGF Bahrain, through this franchise arrangement, will provide extended opportunities to serve existing and new customers in the region under the Toll brand. “Our strategic position as a gateway for the Saudi market will reduce transit time and cost for our customers.” Toll Global Forwarding plans to extend franchises to additional locations across the Gulf Cooperation Council market, Africa and Central Asia.
