Doha Bank strengthens its environmental leadership with new campaign rewarding e-Statement customers

Building upon its environmental leadership in Qatar, Doha Bank has launched a new campaign that aims to promote green banking practices and encourage customers to switch to paperless accounts by providing them with attractive rewards and incentives when they register for e-Statement.

Along with receiving their account and credit card statement on their personal email ID, customers registering for e-Statement facility will now earn a chance to win a Doha Sooq discount voucher worth QAR 1,000, thanks to an exclusive promotion from Doha Bank. Each account and card registered entitles the customer to one chance in the draw, with a total of three winners announced every month. Customers can register their cards and accounts for e-Statement through their online or mobile banking service.

The promotion is valid from 1 October to 31 December 2016. Winners can instantly redeem their discount vouchers on Doha Sooq (www.dohasooq.com).

“e-Statements offer a secure and eco-friendly alternative to traditional paper statements, allowing customers to eliminate paper waste and reduce their carbon footprint,” said Gul Khan Head of Retail at Doha Bank. “As well as offering enhanced personal privacy, e-Statements provide customers with round-the-clock access to their statements and transactions so they can keep track of spending anytime they need to. Besides, having their monthly statements sent directly into their inbox means customers no longer need to worry about misplacing their statements or losing them during transit through the postal service.”

Customers registering for e-Statement can access up to 12 months of their past statements by logging into to their Doha Bank online banking account.

Recognized as a pioneer in the area of green banking, Doha Bank has won a number of awards over the past decade for its contribution to environmental protection. Major annual environmental initiatives undertaken by the Bank include the Al Dana Green Run, one of the most widely attended community events in Qatar, and the ECO-Schools Program which seeks to encourage schools to become eco-friendly institutions by taking practical steps towards a greener path and by reducing their carbon footprint.
