EverSnow, the French refreshing touch at the Formula 1 Bahrein Grand Prix
From April 17th to 19th, 2015, there will be an expanse of snow bordering on the scorching track of the Bahrein International Circuit. This challenge is going to be handled by EverSnow, thanks to an air-conditioned show tent measuring over 2,000 m². The French company is thus about to export its know-how as it produces and implements an event that has never been mounted before in the Middle-East.
Commissioned by the Bahrein International Circuit, the venue is intended for the grand prix public. It will feature a 400-m² snow garden, a cross-country skiing trail, a freestyle ramp complete with crash pad for skis and rubber dinghies, an ice-climbing wall and a 100-m² skating rink. An antique ski museum, showing models from 1900 to the present day, is planned too. EverSnow uses a snowing-up process that produces frozen water flakes which are crushed and pulverised. The snow is produced using energy and pure water free of any additives and has no environmental impact. It strongly resembles spring snow, being very slippery and quick to coalesce whatever the temperature at the snowing-up site.
EverSnow started the production snow in Bahrein as of April 6th; three 40-feet containers and an all-weather snow canon are now on their way to the Kingdom by sea. Since 2004, EverSnow has produced about a hundred snowing-up events in France and Europe, most interestingly in the Madrid region under temperatures exceeding 40°C. The company’s Events Management branch acquired its reputation (and started exporting its know-how) after gaining world fame by installing a 32-metre-high ramp inside the Grand Palais in Paris. More events are currently on the horizon for the company in Asia starting October 2015.
