The Ministry of foreign affairs organized a get-acquainted visit for members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom and their families today to the historical Al Turaif neighborhood in Diriyah, one of Saudi Arabia's national heritage sites on the UNESCO international heritage list.
During their tour of the historical district, the ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions were briefed on the traditional buildings, including Salwa palace, Al Diriyah museum, War museum, Arab horse museum, Prince Mashari bin Saud palace, Imam Abdullah bin Saud palace, Al Turaif grand mosque and a number of palaces and homes in the district, which is supervised by Diriyah Gate Development Authority.
The visitors have also watched unique and distinguished arts of architecture which reflect the styles of traditional life in addition to the historical phases of the Saudi State.
The visitors expressed happiness of what they have seen, confirming that Al Turaif district in Diriyah narrates the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
