Students Eager to Learn and Explore South Korean 

The King Sejong Institute for the Korean Language was recently inaugurated at the Zayed University Dubai Campus, By Prof. Reyadh Al Mehaideb, Vice-President of Zayed University, and Chun, Young-wook, Consul General of the Republic of Korea.

 

The Institute is one of 180 international institutes based across 56 countries. The Korean language has been ranked 13th in the world's most spoken languages.

 

The inauguration came during a ceremony that featured arts and cultural performances that reflected various aspects of the Korean heritage, including folk paintings, live music, and traditional poems. The event has also included an exhibition of traditional Korean Hanbok, calligraphy, and culinary.

 

Accredited professors with extensive academic experience, were assigned to teach the Korean language twice a week at the Institute. They also seek to hold cultural activities, workshops, and organize tours to South Korea for the students. The educational classes at the new Institute are divided into three levels that vary according to the student's ability. The first level for beginners who have no background in language, the second for students with basic skills, and finally, the third level for students who want to master and speak Korean fluently. 

 

The UAE is one of South Korea's largest trading partners in the Middle East. While the later is considered one of the largest investors in the UAE in the commodities and services sector, such as IT, energy, automotive, and real-estate.
