Saudi Grains Organization is one of the leading national institution which was established by the Royal Decree issued in February 1972 within the government framework. It plays a prominent role in achieving economic development in Saudi Arabia. The organization is responsible for production of flour, wheat, poultry and livestock feed, and other vocation feed products. The organization is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Primary responsibilities of the Grain Silos And Flour Mills Organization are listed in the following points: - Establish and operate flour mills, flour production, and animal feed factories. - Establishing food industries related or complementary to the Organization's products. - Marketing the products of the Organization inside the Kingdom. - Purchasing grains and maintains an appropriate reserve stock to face emergency circumstances. - Achieving the political-agricultural policy adopted by the government. Saudi Grains Organization aims to maintain its status as one of the most important sectors in the field of food security by following the best practices to develop and enhance its activities. Saudi Grains Organization’s mission is to serve through supply of high-quality wheat flour that meets the consumer expectations and achieves the efficiency in production. Also, we aim to develop new products and improve the work environment in all our sectors “wheat procurement, storage, milling, subsidized flour distribution, wheat derivatives and feed products”. Saudi Grains Organization provides an online portal and electronic gateway for some E-services which would help companies in participating for auctions and bid for contracts. It also allows companies information regarding available contracts with the organization so that they can participate and apply for contracts. The Riyadh Branch for Saudi Grains Organization is located about 12 km on Riyadh-Al-Kharj road, opposite to Riyadh-Dammam railway which allocated for transferring grain silos and products between the two branches in Riyadh and Dammam. Riyadh Branch is the first branch has been established in 1977.
